John and Kiersten first crossed paths in 2016 at a Halloween philanthropy event in College Station, Texas. John’s smile stood out to Kiersten, but she didn’t work up the nerve to talk to him that night. Fast forward four months to a Mardi Gras party, and fate gave them another shot. This time, Kiersten started the conversation—and they have talked every day since.

After graduating from Texas A&M, Kiersten started teaching in Houston, while John wrapped up his degree at the University of Houston. They've supported each other ever since, sharing a love for travel, baseball (go Astros!), and good food.

Some of their favorite memories together include cheering at Super Bowl LI, watching the Astros take on the Braves in the 2021 World Series, and traveling to spots like Belize, California, and Florida.

In 2022, a new chapter began when John accepted a job in the Austin area, leading them to their cozy home in Georgetown, Texas, where they now share their lives with their beloved fur baby, Macey. It was in this intimate setting that John proposed, creating a heartfelt moment just for the two of them and their faithful companion. With love in his eyes and the warmth of home surrounding them, he asked Kiersten to be his partner for life, embracing the simple beauty that defines their relationship.

As they look toward the future, John and Kiersten know that their greatest adventure is just beginning, and they can’t wait to write the next chapter together.
